About Me

Adventure Agent
Name: Alan Thomson

Thank you for visiting my new Internet site. The purpose of this website is to act as a representation of my business interests and activities, as well as a expression of my personal passions and adventures. This site will be a resource for discovering creative and inexpensive ways of getting the most out of your life regardless of the income available to you. Adventures will always be possible if you are willing to be creative and follow the path least followed.
Above all my life is anchored upon my children and family. I am an exceptionally proud father of Emma and Samuel. The two happiest days of my life were the days they came into the world. I have been fortunate to see them mature into amazing teenagers. I enjoy the time I spend with them immensely. Over the last five years, they have been able to share numerous adventures with me and there will be many more to come for sure. My sisters Pat and Sheila, and my mother Helen also have had many trips and adventures with their own families and friends. It seems that one of us is either on an adventure or planning the next one.
Recently a new adventure companion has come into my life. Shelly has been a gift to me, and I am so grateful that she has a zeal for life and adventure. She loves to travel and try new experiences. She has many great stories to tell about her recent trip to Peru with her daughters. A future of wonderful trips and experiences awaits both of us.
FREESPIRITADVENTURE.ca is intended to act as a gateway to giving you resources and assistance to making more adventures happen in your life. My motto is "Experiences - Not Possessions". I don't believe in the bumper sticker mentality of "The person who has the most toys at the end wins". Yes certain possessions are important and necessary, but if most of your money is spent on items that are not enduring and worth little a year after you buy them, then you have taken away funds that could have been used for memories and opportunities that will always live in your thoughts and heart. I bet you can remember the people, places, and experiences you had around you on Christmases, birthdays, and weddings more than any material gifts you received on those events. I have had a modest income for most of my life, but I have managed to get the most value possible out of the financial resources available to me. My website's purpose will be to share ideas and resources that can help you check more things off of your "bucket list".
I have attended over 300 entertainment and sporting events in my life. I have seen almost every performer, sport team, and celebrity that I have wanted to see. Some of my concerts have included U2, Queen, Green Day, The Who, Bon Jovi, Chris Rock, Justin Timberlake, and Linkin Park. Those are just a start. I have been to numerous sports stadiums and arenas (Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, Wrigley Field, Dolphin Stadium, Madison Square Gardens), and watched my favourite athletes in person instead of on TV. I also enjoy the theatre, and I have been to performances in New York and London. Perhaps an adventure for you would be to go to a city that you have always wanted to go to, and see a concert, play, or sports event - maybe all of those things on the same trip. I have done it.
A skill of mine has been to get high quality seats for these events, and to have nice accommodations to go back to after the event is over and enjoy the afterglow. I can assist you in getting better seats than the average ticket buyer can get, and to get rock bottom prices on hotels to help make your adventure more restful after your exciting day or night.
My freespiritadventure approach to life has allowed me to travel extensively throughout Canada and the United States. I have been to Europe several times, and my most remote adventure has been to the Arctic circle. My goal in life is to visit all of the continents, and to have as many experiences as possible. Although traveling great distances to new countries and continents can be exciting, my favourite place in all the world is a beautiful location on the Bruce Trail near Collingwood, Ontario. Adventures do not have to be far away!

I welcome your feedback, questions, and ideas. Please feel free to contact me, and I will be more than happy to help.
Regards,
Alan Thomson
